The JELANI Institute
(Justice Equity Love and Awareness NOW Institute)
~ 10TH ANNIVERSARY Milestone ~
Recounting our successes and expressing gratitude for the lives enriched and the lives saved.
Remembering Jelani with JAZZ
Saturday, April 5, 2014
3:00 – 5:30 PM
Goya Dining Room on Lower Level of Obal Hall
Grammy-Award-Winning Trumpeter, FREDDIE HENDRIX
Also hear from other award-winning jazz artists including Ed Pazant, Lonnie Youngblood, Russell Sledge, jazz poet Jeannette Curtis-Rideau, and more.
Witness the re-cap of the initiatives and involvements of the JELANI Institute over these 10 years and the successes achieved. Hear about real-life accounts of lives saved and testimonials of police officers who have been transformed by CIT training. And you’ll never guess how The Jelani Tree is being used now.
Bring the kids. EAT. Enjoy the music and the program. We also need your support in order for the Institute to continue its work. We are suggesting perhaps a donation of $25 per family, but no gift is too small or too large. Let your heart be the judge. Of course, STUDENTS are FREE. And for those who have already contributed, you have our unbounded gratitude.
Not able to make a contribution this year? Come anyway. Your presence is a tangible form of support.
Many blessings to you! And looking forward to seeing you on April 5th!
